Torture

Yesterday I ran 9 miles. Normally that wouldn't be so bad, I mean, I ran 8 miles last weekend... but I had to run without my iPod this week. It locked up when I went to start my playlist (and since this had never happened to me before I didn't know how to reset my iPod... I've since learned how and this will NEVER happen again). I didn't think it would be that bad, but I guess I didn't realize how much I had come to depend on my music while I'm running this year. 2 and a half miles into my run I was ready to start crying and it was agony for 7.5 of the 9 miles. At the end I was hurting too bad to really care about music. The hills killed my hips and my left knee has a serious case of Runner's Knee that is still bothering me today.

In other news, we finally have the internet at our house and I got Tyson signed up for Facebook this afternoon. It is a very exciting day!

I can't run without my iPod either. I mean, it's possible, but it makes the run feel more like drudgery. I'd prefer NOT to hear myself panting for more oxygen, thank you very much. But, at least you finished the 9 miles. At that point, I would've said screw it and gone home!
