Working Mom Blues

Leaving Katie at daycare today was harder than normal.  It hit me, as I was walking out the door, how much I miss during the 9+ hours that I am away from her.

I got to stay home with her on Monday (the babysitter had a family funeral) and it was a so much fun for me.  She is awake and smiles and coos throughout most of the day and I love to play and talk with her.  Going back to work totally sucks after a fun day like that.

You know... I really hate money.  Let me rephrase that: I need to win the lottery.

I know this is late, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Hopefully the present I left you will make your day a tiny bit better. I just hope you get home before it freezes :)

Remember, this is but a short moment and will be worth it in the end. She is such a lucky little angel!

I agree with Hudson and Finleys Mom - Katie is a lucky angel to have you and Tyson for parents. She is such a cutie. Keep up the good work.

Let's make a pact: you and I will go to Vegas together, play the slots -- and if either of us wins big, we'll split the money so we both can stay home with our loves.

As soon as it's spring what do you say we go on play dates together?

Being a working mom is tough, even if it is very part time. Hang in there. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do
