Seasoned sewers, I need your advice. I want to learn to sew.
Can I just buy the cheap sewing machines from Walmart?
All I want to be able to do is sew little dresses for my Katie, alter dresses/skirts/pants/tops for me, make baby blankets and quilts, and other such projects that are basic. For reference, see my Pintrest board here.
What are your opinions?
P.S. I'm falling in love with Pintrest... I just need the time to make all of the fun things that I am finding!

Pinterest is addicting!!!! I love it! A couple of my sister in laws have like the 90 dollar Singer from Target and they say it works great! Yay for sewing!

Everything is so cute on your Pinterest board! My cousin made the "dress from Dad's old dress shirt" for her little girl and it is so dang cute and super inexpensive!! I have a machine if you need to borrow it till you get one. Just let me know :)
