I Own an iPhone

Over the weekend, Tyson and I ran a 5K together. Maybe you already read about it? A nice way to celebrate 7 years of marriage, don't you think?

Also, to celebrate our anniversary (and Christmas, New Years, and birthdays for the next 5 years), last night we both got iPhones. I love it - but I also kind of hate it. Well, that's not accurate.  I do not hate the phone. But I hate being part of the iPhone crowd. "Ooooh la la, I have an iPhone and I'm so coooooooooooooooool."

Uh, no. I am a normal person that would prefer to have a boring phone that only makes phone calls and sends text messages. Because, that's what phones are for. And I don't need or want so much technology to make me obsessed with Facebook or Pinterest or YouTube or whatever. But those darn phone companies keep changing phones and plans and prices so that you kind of have to have stupid "smart" phones now. And hey - if you are going to get a smart phone, why not one that is my iPod and can track my runs all of the other junk that it does? Right?

I don't know why I just ranted about all of that. I have an iPhone. And I like it.

I used to be a normal person too... and then I got a smart phone. and my life was changed. Especially with all of the apps Weston has on there -- he has learned his shapes, colors, expanded his vocabulary all because of my phone (and maybe a little bit because of Lori... no credit to myself)

You are fancy, and you should start your own fancy club.
