Friday, at the appointment, we weren't scheduled to see our baby. The doctor came in with the thingy to let us hear the heartbeat again and asked me about my symptoms (still feeling great - you should all be jealous of me) and asked if I thought that I might be feeling the baby move yet. I said, "Oh yeah! For over a week!" He seemed pretty impressed... and I guess that I should be too. It's pretty rare for a first-time mom to feel the baby before 16 weeks and I was feeling it at 14.
Then he asked if we had any questions and I said, "When can I see my baby??" He answered right back with, "In a couple weeks." But then he saw my face and said, "Give me just a minute to see what the ultrasound tech is doing - you guys aren't in a hurry are you?" Heck no! Not if I get to see my baby!
A minute later he was back and taking us over to the ultrasound room. YAY! I had to sign a little waiver to see the baby (since it was an early look for us and not the big 20 weeks ultrasound) and then I got my stomach gooed up and we were ready to find baby. When we first went to "look", Baby was being modest and had one of her feet tucked up and covering her. So we had to poke my stomach to get her to move. The tech was looking at her for a while before she finally told us, "Well, it looks like it's a girl!" The only thing that came out (besides a whole bunch of tears) was a semi-strangled sounding, "Really?" Tyson and I were SO sure that it was going to be a boy. For the last month, it was all that we considered and the only names that we talked about were boy names. But we don't care one way or the other what the baby is. A healthy baby is all that we want.
Since we looked so early, there is still a slim chance that Baby Girl could turn into Baby Boy. But the tech was certain that it was (and would continue to be) a girl. We looked for quite a while and there wasn't anything boy-ish down there.
We are SO very excited! And I can't wait to see Baby again in a few more weeks! My pregnancy is going great and I'm feeling really good. Yes, I'm still running too. It's awesome. Next weekend, I'm part of a 12 person relay team (the Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay) as we run from Logan to Park City and I can't wait!

Will you name her Kateka? :)
I will be REALLY jealous if your ankles don't get swollen this summer... which they probably won't because you are amazing...
sooo excited for you guys!!!
I love that you got to see her early! We were hoping for a boy with bella, but girls are so much fun. Honestly, I think you love your kids no matter what, but it was so fun having so much "girl time" with Bella. That is the only thing I really miss is getting all that one on one time with her. Sorry, it's late and I am rambling. But Congratulations, I am so excited for you guys. Let me know if you need name picking help, it's one of my favorite things about babies!!! Oh, I can't wait!!!!
