Why I am a Paranoid Freak and Can't Watch Scary Movies

I tell everyone that I don't like scary movies.  When really, I DO like WATCHING scary movies.

But I do NOT like the time AFTER the movie when I sit and think, "Oh my gosh... there really are psychopaths like that out there, and what if they choose my house next?  What if there is someone coming after me with a gun?  What if, when I turn out the light, they pop out of no where to torture and kill me and my family?  What if aliens attack and steal me for testing?  What if I'm held captive in a hole in the ground?  What if some freak in a mask comes after me?  AAAAH!!!  Michael Meyers might try to attack me with a large knife and trap me in a closet!  What if those birds start to attack me?"

So you see... I don't like scary movies.

But you can bet that I will be watching some Halloween movies this weekend.

And then "sleeping" with all of the lights on.

P.S. I love Signs.  It cracks me up.

P.S.S. My favorite movie to watch at Halloween is Van Helsing (very NOT scary).  Because I LOVE me some Hugh Jackman.  And it also makes me laugh.

Hahahaha. We are twins blogging about scary movies at the same time. BLOGGY TWINS! I agree with you though, movies where things can actually like happen - the psychopaths, scare the crap out of me, but things like monsters and aliens... not so much.
