Face 2 Face

We went.  We saw.  We love.
But our seats were horrible (did I tell you how I won them from the radio station?  Well I did, so you know... they weren't good seats.).
They came out together and played a set of each other's songs, singing together.  It was so awesome.  One of the first songs was my all time favorite EJ song - Your Song.  It was perfect.
Then Sir Elton took the stage.
Then Billy had his turn.
He also busted out the guitar for "We Didn't Start the Fire".  It rocked!
Then they played together for the rest of the concert.
The last two songs were "Benny & the Jets" and "Piano Man".

Elton's voice is still beautiful in the lower ranges, but he doesn't have his falseto anymore.  Not that big of a deal though - he had back-up singers doing the high parts.  I think "Candle in the Wind" was our favorite that he did on his own.  It surprises me how many people don't listen to the words and know that the song is about Marilyn Monroe (we heard people around us only talking about the Princess Di version and then they didn't know who Norma Jean was).

Billy still sounds SOOOO good!  He could even do Elton's falseto on "Benny & the Jets".  And he's much more of an entertainer and would talk to the crowd after every song (too bad we couldn't hear what he said with the bad accoustics, everything just echoed around).

This was probably my favorite concert that I've ever been too.  When/if they come again, I'm going to have to fork out the money for lower bowl seats.

I love them both.

How fun!! I've been trying to win stuff off the radio for weeks and am getting no where. Boo. My sister won $500 once though. That rocks.
