Onward, Ever Onward

Yesterday was quite the emotional day for the Hunt family.  Tyson's little brother Caleb went into the MTC.  I had only been to the MTC once, when my twin cousins went on their missions - over 10 years ago!  They've changed the way that they do things now.  It's a curbside drop-off and you don't have to suffer through trying to sing "Called to Serve" - thank Heaven for that!  It was absolute torture!!

Anyway, the whole family went down to Provo and had Cafe Rio (Caleb's request - he's going to Pennsylvania, by the way) then went to the Provo Temple to kill time until 1pm, when he had to be at the MTC.  Lots of last pictures and teasing.  And then... we had to say goodbye.  In the parking lot.  Because they only let one car go to the curb.  Yeah - that was fun - NOT!!!  We all looked like a bunch of freaks bawling in the parking lot.  Now Caleb is gone and it doesn't seem real to me.  For one, he still seems like a 16 year old.  And I'm sure when we go out to the Hunt's for an upcoming Sunday dinner, I'll look for Caleb - just out of habit.  But 2 years goes quickly and he'll be back soon - and I'll have a toddler on my hip.  Weird.

Speaking of which, we got to hear the heartbeat yesterday.  Holy awesome.  My doctor (who I absolutely LOVE) found it really fast and then had to find it again and again because I kept laughing (which made my abs contract and the - um - tracker-thingy kept bouncing around).  Yes, I had tears in my eyes.  I wish that I could have seen Tyson's face though.  But maybe I'm glad that I couldn't because then I would have really cried.  I cry a lot.  It's a pregnancy thing.

That was my favorite day ever -- hearing the heartbeat for the first time. Even though he looked like a chicken nugget, we were assured that at least he had a heartbeat.

What mission in PA? Josh served in Pittsburgh.

It's also an after pregnancy thing...the crying. It becomes a Mom thing. I just teared up reading this post. XOXO
