Fever Rash

This is a picture from St. Patrick's Day, while Mommy & Daddy were running a 5K, Katie was playing in Grandma's car, staying warm. (We rocked the 5K, by the way. A new best time for me and I won my age group!)

She woke up with a cold on Sunday, getting worse throughout the day and then having a horrible night with a fever waking her up every hour.  So I stayed home on Monday.

Yesterday when I tried to take her to daycare I showed them a rash that she had developed on her arms and legs after her fever and they wouldn't take her until I had it checked out by her pediatrician.

After two hours at the hospital that included a strep test, we came home with some steroid cream to apply a million times a day.  The rash is from having a fever and interacting with her eczema, which is now infected.

I really hate having a sick baby.  Especially when she won't eat (that I can understand, do YOU like to eat when you have a sore throat?).  But it still stresses me out.

Her rash looks worse this morning - it's blistering and scabbing.
Ouch!

P.S. I've gained 2 more pounds again.
