Let's go, Grandma!
The kids are all wearing their tie-dyed shirts that was a project from the first day of Grandma Camp. A project that was done by Grandma, because hello! Tie-dye is super messy. Katie's is blue. Blue is her favorite color. Which makes her dad happy.
Hiking with Grandpa is fun. He points out lots of fun things to see.
Like pretty wildflowers.
My big hiker.
Hello cutest little face.
Another attempt at a picture of all the kids. Not so much. Katie just wanted me to hold her and was so sad.
This picture of Luke cracks me up. Rubbing his hands together just like his dad does when he's excited about something. In this case, it was ducks.
Looking for a ground squirrel. The kids got to see lots of animals: ducks, ground squirrels, a mule deer and a fox.
After our hike, Grandpa took us over to the little "store" and bought ice cream for everyone. After driving back down to Grandma's house, everyone had some lunch and then Grandma brought out a bunch of stuffed animals that each of the kids got to choose to take home. Each stuffed animal went with a book. Katie chose a frog and she's had to sleep with him in her crib every night since. (I really should get a picture of Katie's crib when she goes to bed, so you can see how many stuffed animals she thinks that she needs to sleep with.)
Our first year of Grandma Camp was definitely a success!
