The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

So, Thanksgiving happened.  When Katie was asked what she was thankful for she said, "Hands" as she reached for more turkey.

... ... ... ... ...

Christmas happened too.  Santa came to our house and brought fun things to our little princess.  I took a few pictures and then put my camera down to play... and never went back.  Isn't that how it always goes?

Christmas morning finally happened around 10am, after Katie finally woke up and we all had eaten our breakfast (Tyson and I were showered and ready - it was actually kind of nice to be ready for the day before opening presents).

Santa had to improvise with boxes this year. When I asked her, "What is it?!", she told me very excitedly, "Cereal!" Other times when it was just a plain box, she would say, "It's a surprise!"

Oh man, princess stuff!

"Help me, Mommy."

So pretty!

Santa brought Katie her very own potty.  She wanted to try it out right away.  She sat down for a minute, then looked down and said, "It not working."

Puppy had to try it out too.

This was the point that the camera went down and we all got to work putting this new kitchen together.  She loves it and loves to "make food" while Mommy is making food too.

And now, it's 2013.  How the crap did that happen?

She is so gorgeous! And I am convinced that next year, I AM giving my nieces and nephews cereal (not just the cereal box used for wrapping), because I swear their joy is in opening stuff, and not so much in the actual gift. :)
